Finite in the AFR Top 500 Private Companies List 2018

Leading technology people and services provider, Finite Group, featured in 166th place in this year’s AFR Top 500 Private Companies List as compiled by IBIS World and published in the AFR on September 5.

Although Group revenues for FY17/18 were down slightly on the previous year’s AU $400M, the underlying business performance was very strong, achieving further gains in EBITDA, as the Group benefits from the ongoing inward investment program and surge in new name clients.
The Group consists of two main business divisions, specialist Technology and Digital Consultancy services through FinXL across ANZ, and specialist Technology, Digital and Business Transformation recruitment services through Finite in Australia and 920 in New Zealand.
Commenting on the results, Group Managing Director, Tracy Thomson, confirmed that:
“Our FinXL business had another strong year with continuing strong market demand for FinXL’s multi award-winning services, both in Australia and New Zealand. Strongest growth was recorded in the Banking and Financial Services sector on the back of tighter compliance and regulation, ongoing digital transformation and disruption from emerging online competitors.
Client demand continued to grow in the Tech, Digital and Business Transformation recruitment sectors where we specialise, in a tightening Australian skills market, making it increasingly difficult for clients to source quality talent from in-house and non-specialist teams. Although our recruitment revenues dipped year on year (attributable to our decision to cease working with a couple of large payrolling clients), Finite / 920 has enjoyed a surge in business from our full service clients, which is ongoing.
We were also thrilled to acquire specialist Melbourne based, Rowben Consulting, to the Group in July, adding their expert team of Tech, Digital and Insurance recruitment specialists.
The Group continues to invest in our sales and delivery teams, our facilities and our technology support systems. They have played an important role in securing the best talent for our teams and clients, and in meeting client delivery expectations. Highlights include the relocation of three of our nine offices into new purpose built premises, and the successful roll-out of all new enterprise Payrolling, ERP and online Timesheeting systems across the Group.
We are also proud to be the recipient of further industry awards, with Finite being recognised with a “CX Management Award” for customer service, and FinXL winning its fifth consecutive ABA100 Australian Business Award, as an “Employer of Choice”!
The Group is very well placed to further grow our clients, revenues and business performance metrics this year in a very busy ANZ local market.”
